Kitab House is an independent children’s publishing company based in the UK.

Our mission is to create vibrant books that go beyond the headlines, offering children and adults an opportunity to learn about Afghanistan's wildlife and natural world in Dari, Pashto, and English.

We create books because we believe they are more than mere commodities; they are sanctuaries where one finds refuge, solace, and a sense of belonging. A Kitab (arabic/dari/pashto for ‘book’), can become your home.

Our books go beyond the headlines, offering a vivid and immersive journey through Afghanistan. Commitment to Education

We're dedicated to getting our books into the hands of children both in Afghan communities worldwide, but also to Afghan children in Afghanistan. While building schools is a crucial first step, quality books are essential to spark a lifelong love of learning.

Unfortunately, many schoolbooks in Afghanistan are of poor quality, with thin paper, black-and-white pages, and bad printing. Kitab House is here to change that, offering bold, vibrant books bursting with knowledge about Afghanistan.
