Meet our Team

  • Ferishta Bakhtari-Boodoo

    FOUNDER

As a child of Afghan war refugees, Ferishta was born in Peshawar and grew up in Germany. Her diverse upbringing was further enriched by journeys through Jordan and the UK in search of wisdom—and the perfect cup of chai. :)

Today, Ferishta is dedicated to mastering her mother tongue while creating books that vividly bring Afghanistan's vibrant spirit to life.

Her work focuses on producing books for schools in Afghanistan, as well as for Afghan communities and organisations supporting refugees in the diaspora. By bridging cultures through her writing, Ferishta aims to make Afghan heritage accessible and meaningful to readers of all ages, fostering a deeper connection to her homeland's rich traditions and stories.
